Notes:
This was the first show I've been to on my birthday and it was a good one. I was joined by Arun, Brent, and Jason. I have been a fan of Megadeth since I started to listening to heavy music back in the mid-90s, but this was my first time to see them. I was pretty excited going in knowning that they were playing RIP in full, which is by far my favorite album. Such great songs and musicianship. They pulled it off. We also got the debut of The Right To Go Insane, but the songs from the new album just don't compare. What happened to all the catchy melodies and riffs? Why are all the new songs constructed with undistinguished, unmemorable, fast riffs? No matter. The other songs were good choices and I honestly didn't mind the Holy Wars reprise.
We got there in time to see all of Testament, but none of Exodus. In keeping with the theme, Testament played all of their Legacy album. If I knew their catalog better, it might have been more enjoyable, but they put on a decent show.
